Business Update

While we did analyze a few potential deals, January was primarily focused on operations and asset management across our current properties, including refining processes and working closely with partners and property management. Consistent execution after closing is where long-term value is created.

Market Update

At its first meeting of 2026, the Federal Reserve opted to hold the benchmark interest rate in the 3.50–3.75% range, reflecting a complex economic backdrop. On one hand, GDP and overall output have remained solid, suggesting ongoing expansion. On the other hand, inflation is still above the Fed’s 2% target, and job growth has softened compared with prior years - with fewer new positions being added and some indicators showing a cooling labor market. This divergence has the Fed taking a cautious “wait-and-see” approach, balancing growth with price stability and labor market health before committing to further rate changes. The result is a monetary policy stance that is patient but very data-dependent in the coming months. Read more.
